Windshear is gonna get any kind of plane that it hits, regardless of who makes it.

Don't the Doppler radars built at airports around the US cut down the number of planes caught in wind shear? It seams that within a few years after the L-1011 crash at DFW, every airport in the US where passenger jets operate got a Doppler radar.

If it's wind shear without rain, there are no water drops to bounce the radar signal back off, therefore no detection.
