I read a story the other day of how the producers selected the fuselage of the L1011 from the graveyard at Mojave and had it shipped to Hawaii for filming...
There was a guy with a Mojave airport blog, he had pics of the scrapping.
Pity, the L1011 is a great plane, there is a new carrier in Bangkok flying a few ex-Delta birds, and ATA still runs 5 or 6 of them for military charters.
