Shopping mall vs Airport??

No airport. I BELIEVE there's going to be (oh JOY!) more houses...probably shopping, too.

I think.

Your mention of El Toro and Lake Forest reminds me of the area years ago. There was an intersection called ?'s Corner and then a county road that went through orange groves to Trabuco Canyon. Now, the orange groves are gone, there's a freeway, lots of houses, and (I think) a State Park.

"It's a nice feeling, eh?"

Yep.
When this hit, all work stopped and I was just sitting there feeling sick about it, and tracking it.
Now that everyone's alive, I've got to catch up on two hours of work, but don't feel bad about it.

"Miramar will be next...they barely made this last cut!"

Man, I hope not. The Marine Corps is so small already, I'm not sure where they would put them next.

Although with a Marine slated for the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, maybe it will be spared. Or someone may end up at the South Pole in their next assignment.

I still can't believe we still have MCRD San Diego. But hopefully the higher ups realize us Hollywood Marines are a necessity to the Country. lol

Yes, indeed. I was a blithe, carefree pilot until my Flight Instructor had a bad crash. If it can happen to him.....

Mission Viejo, El Toro, Irvine etc, just what they need are more houses. ;(

I was home when it happened but had to go out about 45 minutes later to pick up Christine at the end of the TTC line. (since we're too cheap to pay the additional Mississauga transit fare for an under 5 minute ride - LOL!)

However, with the 401 closed, rush hour traffic was pretty bad on the area arterial roads in it's vicinity. Can't believe even the old people got off. Hope no French person has just started to wondering "Ou est Tante Maude?"

"Isnt it amazing how stupid the media is."

Especially CNN. It is all that I can get on TV here in Slovakia.
I got better info just reloading FR every minute.

CNN went on for over 30 min. showing live pics of a flaming
wreckage without so much as any mention that anyone could have survived. They had a bogus witness claiming that the plane exploded into flames within a few seconds of impact.

The height of their stupidity came later in the evening when the news idiot was wondering if the passengers could have maybe used the oxygen mask as smoke developed in the cabin, rather then going down the emergency slides...duhhh

LOL No. I was opt4Bush, opt4 and had one other name I no longer recall. Made the mistake of starting a thread about the importance of proper grammar and spelling for the sake of FR's decorum and credibility. It wasn't an unfriendly flame and that's not why I changed my handle. I do remember MR!

Obsess much?

Keep evolution in the evolution threads, you are the one who started the trolling, and I fight back.

You are the one looking like a fool, so I shall let you continue.

Cook's Corner. Sorta biker breakfast, beer joint, etc. O'Neil Park.

Now next door is exclusive gated Coto de Caza, town of Rancho Santa Margarita, a toll road, and a few other little enclaves; Wagon Wheel, Ladera Ranch, Los Flores.

Has Airbus done anything to make the wings flex/shudder/shake less ? I hate the way the wings "move" on the Airbus flights I've taken.

The wings on the 330 & 340 only get their dihedral when they get into the air. That "movement" of the wings does make for a slightly smoother ride because the wings behave like shock absorbers.

"Pinging for news on El Toro Marine Base decision. Shopping mall vs Airport??"

It will not be an airport. It will have a yet to be finalized mix of park land, office parks, some residential, some preserved open spaces, etc.

i don't think airfrance or lufthansa EITHER have any boeings left... i suspect the last ones they had were 747 and went from there to airbus...

Air France/KLM still has dozens of 737s and 747s, and 777s, and Lufthansa has about 100 737 and 747's. I think they both will be mixed Airbus/Boeing for a while. Lufhansa is a great airline, but I've never had a good experience on Air France, bleah!
