I didn't read it that way. It was a Catholic school, wasn't it? I personally would expect a much higher standard than from a public school.

I agree I would expect a much higher standard.
This woman has issues beyond her use of young boys to deal with those issues.
I expect the school administrators are going to be answering many many many phone calls from parents.

And 14 year old boys trying to get in.

I'm not sure I see the problem with this story. They have also reported on teachers in public schools who have done the same with younger students.

Baloney. If this were a public school teacher you would not be wanting it swept under the rug but would be gleefully shouting it from the rooftops.

Better suppress the truth here can't have publicity like that given public high schools which provokes great merriment and joy around here.

"estranged" wife (for more than a year)Well, if they weren't estranged before, they certainly are now...I feel bad for her soon-to-be-ex-husband.

I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. Someone asked why the poster considered it yellow journalism, and I gave my opinion. I pointed out what I consider to be the difference in reporting this scandal vs. how others in public schools are reported. Please tell me where the hell I suggested sweeping anything under the rug.

No, it's not. It's the law in the state of New York. Spent 26 years as a prosecutor.

I'm not sure who had the more powerful orgasms - the teacher or the local press.... My bet's on the victim.

I understood perfectly your point and it is not valid. The only thing that is unique wrt this story vs similiar ones involving public school teachers is the irony of this teacher being on staff of a school which stresses moral values.
How many on camera shots have you seen of this teacher vs the Florida blonde? Some how I missed them all.
To: PzLdr
I don't doubt that it's the law, it's just an incredibly stupid one. 100 years ago 14 year old daughters were being married off.

I never knew one could have an invalid opinion. I happen to think that there's a big difference between the typical "Teacher arrested for sex with student" and "Catholic school rocked by sex scandal". If you don't think that the latter is sensationalist, that's fine, but it seems pretty stark to me.
Pointing that out has nothing to do with making a value judgement about which one is right or wrong, but rather with how I think one the two cases are treated differently by the MSM.
