You know, I'm just wavering on each side of the fence right now. It started for me just tonight, when I came upon something I had saved in my mailbox, that post I made above about the slave trade.

It fits perfectly, what we know about what happened, and what we can surmise happened that night, with the description of the way the "spotters" target a girl, ply her with drugs to subdue her, then whisk her off the island.

I could go either way. A case can be made for each side, as far as I'm concerned.

I really was thinking she was alive earlier tonight, but then I thought back to Dave H on tv earlier this evening, when he said again that they were told she was dead after 2 weeks into the case, and it reminded me again that it's so unlikely she's still in this world.

But it's funny that you're thinking the same thing tonight, as I was earlier, that she's still out there. It was just the stongest feeling that came over me. I could really believe it.

And why did the family just today increase the reward for information for her whereabouts, up to $250,000, which I saw somewhere?

Well, Dave H may believe she's gone, but I don't think Beth does actually.

Now there's a case! I think it was a travesty! Remember when highly regarded crime artists came in to draw a rendering of the perp since Elizabeth's little sister SAW HIM. And the family would not allow the drawing to be released to the media. I remember the hooplah around this.

I believe the family, having seen the drawing knew it was a Mormon fundamentalist and quashed it knowing it would bring disgrace on Mormons and that Elizabeth was gone but probably not dead.

Then she shows up in SLC walking freely with her captors even though she could have, but didn't, leave.

Now, we will never hear this trial as the perps have been very conveniently determined to be "mentally incompetent".

We'll never hear from Elizabeth as to why she calmly got her shoes and walked out of the house with him ... even stopping to use the bathroom.This case reveals the worst of SLC IMO.
