The Post Office? What's wrong with the postal service?!? FOr 37 cents I can get a letter anywhere in the US. The benefits to the economy from a functioning postal service must far outweigh any gov subsidy for it. It'd be awfully expensive to replace this with private couriers, eh?

Dishonorable Mention

These programs were nominated by at least one judge and received votes from at least two.

Title IX (banning discrimination by sex in education programs, including athletics)
Score: 49

You may like the post office, but it is not keeping up and costing more each day to continue.  Is not email cutting into its profits?

Plus this article lists the nominated programs by one or more judges.

I think part of the problem is that they hold a monopoly and don't allow competition.

Why shouldn't UPS or FedEx be able to deliver letters? How could they possibly hurt the USPS since 1)the USPS pays no corporate tax, 2)pays no property taxes or rent (in most cases), and 3)they also do no pay to license their vehicles.

If the USPS was run efficiently, then there would be no reason to bar private companies from competing with them.
