No. Don't assume voters are dumb asses. They liked the guy, liked a guy who fought in Iraq but was unhappy with Bush's conduct of the war, and wanted to send a message.

Bottom line, an honest to goodness pro gun, Marine veteran of the Iraq War could not beat this woman.
