Bombin' Days

Bombin’ Days

My bombin' days are over
No more nights at the Terror Cell
My buddies say they’re gonna miss me but
Who could ever tell
I never knew what time it was
Til exploding time came round
My bombin' days are over
But I’m still troublebound

I used to hang at the Mosque yeah
You’d see me screaming as the Iman Spoke
I’d take my gal to The strip club
We lived on whiskey and smoke
Don’t know how it all started
Always mean to kill someone
Some bad luck with the fuse can’t be undone

Well it was way past midnight
Abdul dialed the cell call
I turned around and Muhammed ran
I headed out in a crawl
I sure did know that other guy was SAS
I really sure was scared
Sometimes you know you ain't got a pair

My bombin' days are over…
I got a ride out to Wormwood cell
I’ll be here for a while
Wishin I'd got my virgin
The big Brit did smile
I have a lot of regrets, now
cause I'm the Big Brits bitch
Now a woman’s gotta do when they want to scratch their itch

My bombin' days are over...
No more nights in the terror cell
Now I spend my time as everyone's virgin
In a living hell.

To be sung to the tune of Slaid Cleaves, "Drinkin' Days".

Just havin' a little good ole boy fun with what's ahead for the recently caught little sheet heads.

Lyrics look good but I don't know the song. I haven't listened to music in many years, which is why most of my parodies are from the '60s. :)

Cleaves is kinda new out of Austin. Mostly country, cajun and bluesy rock. This song in its original is hilarious.

Don't know, my friend, some things just take some time to be able to re-focus.

Like others, I haven't heard the song, but this one made me giggle. Of course, if the bombs had gone off as planned, he'd sort of be a "bombing haze" as he vaporized himself. And, naturally, his "virgins" would be about the same. Or else, as some scholars say, raisons.

Like others, I haven't heard the song, but this one made me giggle.

He's kind of obscure. First lines are:

My drinkin' days are over
No more nights at the Carousel
Never knew what time it was, til
Closing time came round.

The guy is a great story teller.

Your headlines were my inspiration for redoin' Slaid's song.

Kinda a new guy out of Austin, TX. Plays a mixture of country, cajun and bluesy rock. I was down in AZ on the border in Bisbee, (Minuteman Country), seeing my sister and brother-in-law, golfing with some great Army guys at Ft. Huachuca, blasting away with my new AR-15, eating great Mexican food and Jim turned me on to Cleaves.

You wanna hear the whole CD I'll burn you a copy and send it on.

The take-off from his song "Drinkin' Days" was a natural fit to the outcome of the 7/21 attempted bombings.
