I never understood why they don't just reduce the oxygen content in the chamber gradually until the murderous scum passes out, then maintain a zero oxygen environment for 30 minutes.

No pain, no fuss.

- I've wondered that myself, and then it dawned on me. Punishment is a derivitive of justice and there wouldn't be any justice in the punishment if it involved no pain or suffering. I believe pain is factored in on purpose for that reason. I could be wrong, but that’s my thoughts.

Oxygen deprivation is exactly what PETA wants...for chickens. Because it's supposedly painless. As long as the sentence gets carried out somehow, it works for me.
