"We're not saying you can't kill him," says Michael Gorla, Johnston's lead attorney. "We're just saying you can't kill him this way."

Or can you kill him this way or that way or the other way or any other way. If they get the chemical injection method thrown out, the other methods will then be targeted.

Just pull his hair out by the roots and break all his ribs.

the second drug in Missouri's three-chemical sequence may render Johnston completely paralyzed but fully conscious and susceptible to pain.

I'm okay with that. Perhaps he would prefer the electric chair?

Let's call that a plus.

The Riverfront Slimes is the Great Moonbat paper of St. Louis. The only thing that makes it worth its price (free) is its entertainment calendar.

I totally agree. Unnecessarily cruel and inhuman punishment.

I think a good noose and a skilled hangman is much better. Besides you can recycle the noose.

I like the Chinese method: AK-47 to the base of the skull from a distant of about one inch. Usually blows the brain right out of the skull (along with blowing off most of the face). But at least it is instantaneous. That should make them happy.

I do believe that we need to amend the amendment. Cruel and unusual punishment is exactly what we need.

Although philosophically opposed to capital punishment myself, if these people are really that worried, how about a shotgun blast to the back of the head? Of how about a small patch of C4 detonated at the back of the head. The total immediate, and absolute destruction of the brain would preclude any pain or suffering..

I will most likely get flamed for what I am a bout to say, so here it goes.
I am not in favor of the Death Penalty, but not for the reasons you may think. I oppose the Death Penalty because I think it is the easy way out. I belive a "REAL" life sentence should be imposed for murderers, rapists and child molesters. A "REAL" life sentence should mean the scumbag spends the rest of his/her existance in a 10x10 cell with no outside contact period. No tv, radio, magazines, books, of visitors. Any human contact should be minimal. The inmate would never leave his cell, he eats there, exercises there, and if he needs medical attention the Dr comes to him. The only way he leaves the cell is in a bodybag in the back of a hearse.

But that would allow us to let these poor dogs have one, expense-free-night, with sHrillary...clearly that is a violation of all things Constitutional...utterly Cruel and Unusual...just ask Bubba.

The best method as far as I know is to suffocate the murderer in nitrogen. It's nearly painless, as the "victim" has no sensation of suffocation. He breathes normally, and falls asleep and dies. And the best part - his organs are in GREAT shape for transplant!

Martin Marietta engineers proved out this method of killing years ago while inspecting space shuttle fuel tanks which had been cleaned and flushed with nitrogen. This gas was not flushed out and the two inspectors fell over dead after a few minutes of work.

Peaceful death for murderers and good organs (if not wrecked by drugs) for "society"!

Keep in mind we also swab the injection site with alcohol prior to administering the lethal dose. Wouldn't want the guy to get an infection, doncha know!

We (society) couldn't be so lucky.
This guys wife is the one who truly suffered.
