Just heard this on the radio. This guy went before Congress and denied he took steroids. What was he thinking? He has a year left in career and he doesn't stop using it. This will probably takes him out of the Hall of Fame.
*sniff* Suspicious activity here...
10 game suspension
I couldn't find a link either. WFAN is calling it an exclusive, so it may take some time before other sources pick it up.
I feel like a fool now for standing and cheering his 3000th hit just a couple of weeks.
"I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again. I did not have convivial relations with that Androgen, Testosterone. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time-never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American pastime."
Very sad. I am just stunned, not that he would ever take them, but that he would CONTINUE to take them, even when he knew that MLB had stepped up the monitoring and that they are taking a harder line against those who test positive.
What a FOOL! I'm totally in shock.
Jason Giambi had to practically go back to the minors to learn how to hit again WITHOUT steroids. But he just had the best month of his career, and is crushing the ball again. I wish him the best of luck in his comeback. Unfortunately the lasting effects will always be with him/ Giambi has massively increased chances of tumors, cancers and organ faliures in his future. The price of steroids is unacceptably high.
I have the jim rome show on now - but Skip Bayless is guest hosting....maybe something will pop up on that show. I may not last long enuf to listen, though.
Nope...
Did you see him last night, two home runs and a closeup showed his eyes going *****bing, bing, bing*****. If that guy is not on something he must have amazing body chemistry.
Viagra sets off red flags on drug tests.
Maybe he's using, not just pitching the product.
Giambi is on enhancements, either HGH or something else.
I was a batboy for a major league club before the steroids era, and I saw guys do some pretty crazy things after hitting one home run, much less two. Very normal, quiet guys would get back to the dugout after knocking one out and they'd just be jacked on adrenaline. Plus, Giambi was practically written off after the first few months of the season, so I imagine he's got even more to be pumped about.
CBS sportsline has the story up as well. Says he's suspended 10 games for violating the league's drug policy.
BTTT
Yeah, I saw that as well.....he did look like at the minimum he had way too much caffeine. BTW: Skip Bayless just announced the news on Palmeiro on the Jim Rome Show.....
How in God's name do you get from "no respect for a nation's laws, traditions and people you can steal, hide, cheat all you want" to Raffi's support and use of ED drugs?
How is taking a drug that allows you to have better sex with your wife an example of situational values?
Your post is one reason why newbies (such as yourself) are taken with a grain of salt. I'll be interested in your response to my questions (and I won't touch your comment about "letting these creatures into the country").
