60 months!?!?!!!?

If I lived on the same block, an "accident" would have happened long before that. The Lord helps those who help themselves.

Amen. Propane tanks next to bare electrical wires, who knows what might happen?

I owned a house in Falls Church, VA that I rented out.

I rented it to an Hispanic couple, who against the lease and against local laws, immediately moved in her sister and brother-in-law. Then then "rented out" the basement, to another couple who ran a laundry service, using MY washing machine and dryer.

When the city contacted me about a $500 water bill, I knew something was going on.

When they were 5 months in arrears on rent, had some 12 people living in the house, and wouldn't pay any attention to my "vacate the premises" for lack of rent payment, overdue/unpaid utility bills, and violation of about 10 zoning laws, I went to Court.

It took me THREE YEARS to get these slimeballs out of my house, by which time it was trashed.

When the Sheriff finally got them out, I was left with 4 "dead" cars in the yard, a completely bent fence that had circled the house and formerly lovely yard, a thermostat that wouldn't work when the temps that night were supposed to go below freezing and I couldn't turn on the heat, and I was severely tempted to purchase a gun instead of the cellphone that I did.

The Courts are NOT on the side of "ugly landlords" and ARE on the side of these people who violate as many laws as they want, and don't pay rent.

THEN, after getting them out, I had to go to Court to keep the dang security deposit, although it didn't begin to cover the cost of repairs to the house, much less the long overdue rent.

I don't care about "fair housing" rules. I will never, ever again rent to a Hispanic should I ever be in the position of having a house to rent.

But for the foreseeable future, I will never be an "ugly landlord" because we simply have too many illegals around, and they KNOW THEIR RIGHTS and use the fair housing rules to their advantage, and there is nothing an honest person like me can do.

And that is the disgusting truth.

But how are you going to sneak up on a house with 60+ people in it? Especially since, at any given time, half of them are out back pissing in the yard!!

"The Lord helps those who help themselves."

LOL! On another thread it was deemed 'justifiable arson'.
