With housing prices soaring and property taxes punishing in many states, owning your own home has become a life-defining situation. Millions of Americans struggle to make mortgage payments in order to raise their kids in a safe environment, free from danger and chaos.
In the New York town of Farmingville, on Long Island, Woodmont Place was once considered a nice street, full of working-class Americans enjoying a slice of suburbia. But that was before a woman named Rosalina Dias bought a house on the block.

Simply complaining isn't enough.
You have to shake the trees to get the monkeys to fall out.
This requires mass public demonstrations, petitions, and running candidates against the parasites in office who just want a nice cushy elected career with nothing to bother them.
That goes for the Federal and State levels too.
i'd read this article but i feel it would make my blood boil, and today i am not in the mood, can someone sum it up in about a paragraph?
I owned a house in Falls Church, VA that I rented out.
I rented it to an Hispanic couple, who against the lease and against local laws, immediately moved in her sister and brother-in-law. Then then "rented out" the basement, to another couple who ran a laundry service, using MY washing machine and dryer.
When the city contacted me about a $500 water bill, I knew something was going on.
When they were 5 months in arrears on rent, had some 12 people living in the house, and wouldn't pay any attention to my "vacate the premises" for lack of rent payment, overdue/unpaid utility bills, and violation of about 10 zoning laws, I went to Court.
It took me THREE YEARS to get these slimeballs out of my house, by which time it was trashed.
When the Sheriff finally got them out, I was left with 4 "dead" cars in the yard, a completely bent fence that had circled the house and formerly lovely yard, a thermostat that wouldn't work when the temps that night were supposed to go below freezing and I couldn't turn on the heat, and I was severely tempted to purchase a gun instead of the cellphone that I did.
The Courts are NOT on the side of "ugly landlords" and ARE on the side of these people who violate as many laws as they want, and don't pay rent.
THEN, after getting them out, I had to go to Court to keep the dang security deposit, although it didn't begin to cover the cost of repairs to the house, much less the long overdue rent.
I don't care about "fair housing" rules. I will never, ever again rent to a Hispanic should I ever be in the position of having a house to rent.
But for the foreseeable future, I will never be an "ugly landlord" because we simply have too many illegals around, and they KNOW THEIR RIGHTS and use the fair housing rules to their advantage, and there is nothing an honest person like me can do.
And that is the disgusting truth.
What a story! I don't blame you for not renting to them again.
Its called fear. The average person fears the governement and they want it just like that. IRS, DEA, CIA, ATF, DMV, NSA, FBI, Local Sherrif, Building Department, etc etc.
Most people, I believe, have a justified fear of retribution from the thousands of governmental agencies that have the potential to mess with a person in a bad way.
Bingo. I feel like a lone voice when I tell people the courts are not there to protect you or give anyone justice. Its amazing people still believe that stuff. I do collection work and will tell you that call it profiling, racism, whatever, no one should do any business anyone unless they can be checked out and have something to lose.
I do some work for a big food chain in NYC. Some the people who don't pay don't even speak English, bounce checks, etc etc. The cops won't even take my call about a bounced check and the courts take so much time its usually not worth it.
I implore my clients just not to do business with these people. Otherwise, I tell them to triple the price and tell the person take it or leave it.
This is happening all over in the DC metro area. One woman I know ended up $40,000 in the hole in a similar situation. And if anyone suggests that northern VA actually enforce its occupancy ordinances, that person is a hateful racist.
Its a lot harder to break 13 arrows joined together than to break a single one.
I agree, but your average decent tax paying citizen is just trying to hold things together without rocking the boat. They fear losing everything and not getting any back-up.
The worst part is that these illegals do not want to be citizens or Americans.
Ask them - its always "Back in my country" or "In my country" etc etc. despite being here for decades!
I always could care less and just tell them to leave and go back to "their country".
But how are you going to sneak up on a house with 60+ people in it? Especially since, at any given time, half of them are out back pissing in the yard!!

Good point.
"The Lord helps those who help themselves."
LOL! On another thread it was deemed 'justifiable arson'.
I have seen pictures of this happening in middle class ($250,000 and up homes) in California.
At some point I fear we will have a revolution.
Maybe we need to have a group purchase of a house near Macain 's home and a few of the other apologists. We could become part of the business owning class ( we could do ebay on the side) and open a string of "rooming houses" . I wonder how he and is buddies would like day laborers living next door
This is all a part of our "let them eat cake" government
If you have property to rent, post it on your church bulletin board. That is a good way to get good, reliable renters and the government can keep its long nose out of your business.
A LOT more. In fact, if he came down on the right side of this incredibly important issue his ratings would be right back ahead of Greta's.
