And how would I know that, since it is classified? Do you think that we don't have people who monitor what the North Korean delegation is up to? Do you think that we don't monitor the Cubans, or the Chinese?

And why would these people be conducting any clandestine activities at the UN for us to spy on, when there are plenty of other places they could do it? Do you think it doesn't occur to them that they could be spied on? The fact is, having the UN headquarters in the U.S. gives our enemies more opportunities to spy on us than it gives us opportunities to spy on them.

As another poster commented, you are wasting your font, because you're know you can't think of a good reason for being in the UN, so you try to come up with some vague rationalization to save face for you and your choice of politicians to support. There's nothing more to it than that.

Just WHAT makes you imagine that they don't ? THEY ALWAYS HAVE DONE SO!

And the Russian summer house ( the first and the second one they moved into, after they sold the first one [which had been J.P. Morgan's estate} to the Catholic church for use as a nunnery !), in Glen Cove, was bugged and spied on by us.

...because you're know you can't think of a good reason for being in the UN

Reasons to stay in the U.N: To not withdrawn from the world. To make our influence felt.

If all the nations of the world were to have a meeting and at that meeting were all the evil, good and somewhere-in-between nations, why the heck wouldn't I as the U.S. not want to be there. To spread our influence and make the world more like us.

If the evil nations of the world can't take our sovereignty at the UN, then there is one thing that they would want us to do. They would want us to withdrawn, go into isolation and never have our influence felt.

I say no way. I'd much rather be a pain in the ass and affect change.
