Negroponte had nothing to do with the Oil for Food scandal, which began before President Bush even took office.

Nothing you say will diminish our enthusiasm for this appointment. Have a nice day!

1] It occurred during his watch for nearly four years, regardless of when it started.

2] I too love Bolton. Picking Bolton for this job is like picking Luttig (which Bush should have done) for the SCOTUS job.

3] I too am "enthused" with the Bolton appointment. I just question why the man he replaced (Negroponte) is National Intelligence Director.

We get little glimmers of common sense now then (such as this Bolton recess appointment), but we still are overwhelmed with pc globalism and moves that are not in the best interest of the US but in the best interest of the UN and other nations.

But again, Bolton is great. And again, Paul Wolfowitz seemed to be a great pick for the World Bank, but Wolfowitz is now talking like Bono II as throwing money down more black holes seems to be the priority of Paul "Bono" Wolfowitz.
