BUT, we freepers care, and we freepers are doing the "dance of joy" today!!!! I still have my W 04 bumper-sticker on my car. It seems that every time I get around to thinking about taking it off the President does something I want to publicly associate myself with. Today is another such day :)

Naming Bolton in recess dos NOT change the face of Republican politics, does not seal the borders, does not stop giving away our national treasury, does not stop the $15 billion to Africa, does not stop the cancelation of foregn debt owed to us, and does not prevent Negroponte from being Director of Homeland Security. Who forgot to warm your formula today?

One of the DUmmies says the only thing to do now is "armed revolution." Ewww, that can't be legal...One drunk Marine with a sharp #2 pencil could crush their "revolution".

The Dems strategy right now appears to be to throw red meat to the base. Any anti-bush rhetoric is okay.

However, guess who he replaced? Negroponte. Negroponte--he of the billions and billions and billions of Oil-for-Kickbacks scandal. I believe that Negroponte was sent to Iraq to run our Embassy and replaced by John Danforth. Danforth was the one who resigned causing the vacany that Bolton is filling.

OH, yeah, but just like Ellis Heniken said on Fox a few minutes ago...if the REps question the dems motives...
we are questioning their PATRIOTISM...
I just hate when dems, especially TV commentator dems can't figure out anything worthy to say in rebuttal, so they fall back on the "you are questioning our patriotism" line!!
Whining, babies, all of them!

Negroponte--he of the billions and billions and billions of Oil-for-Kickbacks scandal.
Your facts are incorrect. Negroponte is the US Ambassador to Iraq now.

It would be interesting if the President asked Frist to pass a petition amongst Senators asking who would have voted for Bolton had they been permitted to vote.
Talk about smearin' it in their face! This is one heck of a good idea! For one thing it would show the American people just how much the senate is asleep at the wheel following the Dems obstructionist attitudes.
I wonder how the public would respond when they find out the DemoncRats are sitting on their hands when they should be doing the work they were elected to do? I'd sure like to see these "slugs" answer up to their constituents questions on why the heck they can't vote on a Presidential selection when it appears in the long run. the selected one had senate approval all along.

IIRC His appointment can be made permanent if/when he is voted on.....SO let the vote begin.

Yes and no.
Negroponte was the Ambassador to the United Nations from 2001 to 2004, and then Ambassador to Iraq 2004-2005. In both positions, he stood by and did nothing as billions of taxpayer money went down the money pit of the Oil-for-Kickbacks scandal.
As astonising as it is, this do-nothing is now Director of Intelligence.
