No Way!! The City of Chicago once had the US submarine with the second highest score of sunk Jap tonnage. (Score was often kept on the weight of steel sent to the bottom, not the total number of ships alone). The WW2 Sub USS Silversides was docked at Navy Pier for 20 years. The city had the submarine moved out of town because Mayor Harold Washington and the city council wanted the historical association that operated the sub to pay a super high dock rental fee. Much more than what the sub took in for admissions. It was really just a trick by the liberals to get rid of a nasty, evil US war machine. The sub was moved across Lake Michigan to Muskegon, Mich where they built a dock and museum for the sub. Chicago is NO FRIEND to the US military.
