Do not attend Giants gamesAs the token Giants fan around here, that will be the only thing I'll ever do in that town. I'm not going to follow another baseball team simply because the people that run the place are socialist knuckleheads.

Tom Ammiano is an idiot. Personally, I would like to someday visit the USS Iowa and would prefer not to have to go to San Fiasco to see it.

How about we trade the SF Board of Supervisors, UC Berkeley and the Castro to Canada for British Columbia, 400 cases of Labatt Blue and a province to be named later?

You do not want most of British Columbia! In many ways the Vancouver area is WORSE the San Fran.

I disagree--What San Francisco needs is a repeat of 1906. A good earthquake to level the place.
We used to love visiting there till the "homeless" and queers took it over.

There is a group of public-spirited citizens in the Sacramento-Stockton area who are proposing to build docking and display facilities for the USS Iowa on the appropriately named Rough and Ready Island in the San Joaquin River to the west of downtown Stockton. I strongly suspect that politicians in that part of the state do not bear the same antimilitary animus that infects the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

Don't screw about. ''Province to be named later''?? Leave that naming to those clots in Ottawa, and the US will wind up w/Newfoundland.
Be direct-- if you mean Alberta, say Alberta (they can keep BC, or at least keep Vancouver.)

Are liberals now against our involvement in World War Two?
I knew they were closet Nazis.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I hope they can get it done. I really don't think San Francisco is the appropriate place for such and important piece of American history. It would be like moving the Liberty Bell, the Declaration of Independence or the U.S.S. Constitution to San Francisco. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER WANT TO DO THAT?

Sail her up the Mississippi and dock her on the Iowa side of the river. That would be suitable.

Hey now, easy there. I think it would look far better docked next to BB 55 down there in Wilmington.

Can the rest of the U.S.A. vote to ban San Francisco? We can vote with our wallets. I have never set foot in SF, and quite probably never will.

"I am sad to say I am not proud of the history of the United States of America since the 1940s,'' Daly said. Then maybe Daly should leave the US.
