"Michael Moore...has health care business worried"

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) - Michael Moore said his next documentary already has HMOs quaking in their boots.

Moore has not yet begun shooting the film Sicko but his planned critique of the U.S. health care system, he said, is making "freaked-out" HMOs warn employees what to do if approached by the filmmaker.

At this point, we haven't shot anything yet and they're totally discombobulated," Moore said at the inaugural Traverse City Film Festival.

Moore, who lives near Traverse City, founded the film festival with local movie buffs to showcase excellent films.

Moore described good movies as a bridge across the political divide for people "tired of the hate, tired of the yelling, tired of...the screamfests, the talk radio."

Though the festival is showing films like Casablanca and the upcoming Bill Murray movie Broken Flowers, Moore's involvement sparked a conservative Texas group to sponsor a rival festival showing Hollywood classics and conservative-themed movies. That festival was to begin Saturday.

While Moore's Traverse City Film Festival puts politics on the back-burner for a weekend, he makes no apology for making politically themed films.

"When in this great democracy did 'political' become a dirty word?"

HMOs are freaked out because no matter what they say or what they do, they'll be misrepresented in this "documentary."

I thought this idiot blew himself up at Mount Rushmore clutching two hot dogs (see: "Team America").

The only way that M&M could have somebody quaking in his boots is by the earth shaking as he approaches . . .

what the HMO's need to do is send a film team around to follow mickey moore around and document his actions, plus his hygienic practices and when he drops from a heart attack, say no to the drugs he requires.

I hope the instructions involve a taser and a double tap if he continues to approach in a threatening manner.

Good people meet their Maker everyday, while this POS gets fatter by telling half-truths, distortions, bias, and outright fabrication of fact.

And good Boy Scouts are the ones hit by lightning.

Movies are indisputably not talk radio. Good for him. I also appreciated the lack of hate and yelling in "Bowling" and "F911."

"When in this great democracy did 'political' become a dirty word?"

LOL, "sedition is patriotic."

Fat jackass Michael Moore and his leftwing propaganda of home movies may appeal to certain liberal socialists, but he didn't fool all the people with his last trashy documentary.

"At this point, we haven't shot anything yet and they're totally discombobulated,"

More egotistical flourish from a self-deluded ass. But he's probably partly correct. Any industry would be rightly concerned about being a target for a well financed campaign of lies and distortion.

I'd be freaked out too knowing that my staff or I might be ambushed at any moment by a water buffalo with a microphone and movie camera.
As much as I hate HMOs, I only know realize that I hate Michael more!

Mickael Moore probably wrote the press release himself, between cheeseburgers.
