The pisser is feeling this incapable of action. Completely powerless to do more than go along for the ride.
This does feel like The Stand.
It most definetly does. When our government has to start stepping over our dead bodies, maybe then they'll do something. But, I'm not going to be holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
