"Of course the exercise of religion is anathema to the left and to you as well I suspect."
Typical over-the-top push-button comment from the easily-offended fundies.
I've got no problem with your free exercise of religion. I have a problem with you using gov't to enforce your morality onto others. I'm sure you fail to see the difference here.
Certainly you do, you want to force religionists to fund your reseacrh at the point of a gun. You're useless.
I have a problem with you using gov't to enforce your morality onto others. I'm sure you fail to see the difference here.
The difference between us is your desire to have government take my money to do your bidding. I don't want the government taking your money to do my bidding. That makes one of us a lefty, care to guess which?
Oh those pesky Christians getting you all mad because they want their representatives to do what they want and not what you want. If you don't like them foisting their morality on you, then convince the majority of Republicans you are correct and not they.
Tell me what is the difference is? Only atheists should decide what government does and does not spend money on? Only atheists can sit in congress or the judiciary? There is NO constitutional justification for denying these people a say in the process even if it INCLUDES laws that enforce their morality. Live with it.
You agreed with the poster that the taxpayer doesn't get to decide where taxes get spent. Not directly, but we do get choose who decides. Bottomline is Frist betrayed some of us.
