A 13-year-old boy from Stamford, Conn., who disappeared from a men's room in Yankee Stadium, has been found in Queens, police said.
Hundreds of police and security guards searched for Majelique Lewis after he vanished during a trip to the bathroom during the seventh-inning stretch of a Yankees-Angels game, police said.
His mother immediately reported him missing to security, who notified police about an hour later, about 10:05 p.m. A search of the stadium, including parking lots, restricted areas and locked rooms, was fruitless, police said. Officers also searched nearby fast-food restaurants and train stations without results.
But police say the boy was located in front of a building in Jamaica, Queens early Sunday morning in good health. Police spokesman Bernard Gifford said he had no information on how the boy had left Yankee stadium in the Bronx undetected and traveled to Queens.
Every stadium exit is monitored by security cameras and Lewis' mother did not spot him on hours of recorded images, police said. He attended the game with his 65-year-old mother, brother and two sisters, police said.
Lewis has no behavioral or mental problems and no history of running away, police said.
"He's an average kid," said Arthur Shannonhouse, who answered the phone at Lewis' home and identified himself as the teenager's father.
Between 10 and 15 children are reported missing at every Yankees game and are almost immediately located, police said.

Maybe there was a long line at the men's room. Or perhaps he forgot where his seat was.

So he just left the stadium and decided to take a walk around the Bronx?

Strange as Jamaica is pretty far from Yankee Stadium. Wonder what he was up too???

Maybe he was looking for his birth mother or something like that and heard she was from Jamaica. Perhaps he was planning for a while....it is indeed strange.

It would seem that nothing is too strange for NYC.

Had security walked around calling, "Majelique, Majelique!" I am sure only one person would have answered.

Wait a minute, that's it for the article? You can't mean they did't at least ASK the kid how the **** he got out of the stadium and why? He's 13, not 3!

I'm wondering if he had a girlfriend in Queens or something that he sneaked off to visit? I don't remember reading which borough he was from, just that he went to the baseball game.

Do the math. 65 minus 13. Amazing.
