Jesse Jackson to Work on Getting ESPN to Include D.C. in Plans (pitiful whine alert)

Washington (AP) - Now Jesse Jackson is involved in trying to convince ESPN that its 50-state tour of sporting events should include a stop in the nation's capital.

The activist and former presidential candidate says it's insulting that the cable network left D.C. out when it came up with its plans. Jackson says he'll go to the network's Connecticut headquarters if they don't change their tune.

He also might picket the ESPN Zone bar in the city that's home to the Nationals, Wizards, Mystics, United and Capitals (website - news) . Plus there's the Redskins (website - news) , if you want to figure Landover into the mix.

The network says it'll mention D.C. when broadcasting from Virginia and Maryland.

Racist Jessie wouldn't give a rip if DC wasn't black. Do you see him whining about Gaum or Puerto Rico?

ESPN is none of his business. Why does anyone give this baiter the time of day?

May he make a fool of himself, again, ala Mexican stamp outrage.

To make ammends, maybe Vicente Fox should put drawings of Jackson and Rev. Al on Mexican stamps. Now that could be very interesting!

I predict ESPN will give in. Most of the sports reporters there are as liberal as the so called MSM reporters. Remember Keith Olberman came from there.

The leftist MSM will dredge up every scumbag on the roster and try and invent news out of them. Jesse is on the list -- of racists, race-baiters, professional vicitimzation supporter -- just another leftist, carpetbaggin maggot. A real role model for black America (barf bucket please).

You would think he would be more upset that they left out Jackson Hole instead of Washington D.C. Maybe because it doesn't have the ring to it that Jesse would like.

I could say that about myself because I once thought I would be a good president and have just as much credibility as that Poverty Pimp

D.C. is not a state, it's a federal territory. Just because a lot black people live there is no reason to pretend otherwise.

I don't care about what Jackson wants. But it does seem odd that ESPN's tour wouldn't include a city where they have one of their facilities, and which has several sports teams.

Maybe ESPN wasn't skipping DC, maybe it doesn't make any difference that there are teams there. It just seems odd.
