How much of that $2.41/gallon is due your State's fuel tax?

I still can't understand how ZOT! threads merit a place in News/Activism.

They're not news or activism.

KKKarl Rove

You say that, but it's one of yours who really was a Grand Kleegle of the Klan. Senator "Sheets" Byrd of West Virgina. He's also a real "chickenhawk", unlike George Bush, who strapped his a$$ to an F-106, while "Sheets" made lots of money, and probably scored lots of "Rosie the Riveter" types as well, working in a shipyard during WW-II. (He hadn't worked in a shipyard before the war, when he was busy burning crosses, recruiting new Klansmen, and such as that.)

And the state's attitude is how dare you mention eliminating or lowering the gas tax. We're offended that you mentioned that we have one, even though it's explained on a sticker on the side of every gas pump.

This sounds just like a rant one of my coworkers made the other day. She was hysterically carrying on about Bush, oil, and the war...then she dropped the bomb.

Waving her hand at the breakroom TV, where I was watching FoxNews, she demanded to know why we were "wasting" our soldiers fighting a hopeless war in Iraq, when they should be taking care of that brutal tyrant, Saddam.

At first, I thought she was joking. But as she continued to rant and rave, I realized that she didn't have a clue as to what has been going on these past few years. I calmly tried to explain the situation, but she exploded again, calling me a "tyrannical warmonger" and storming out of the room.

My place of employment is less than twenty miles from a major military installation, half of our employees are either military, retired military, or direct relations of someone in the military, we constantly discuss the war and watch the news in the breakroom, and we have had a large poster with the Saddam/Geicko spoof posted on the bulletin board for the past year and a half, so I am a little puzzled as to how this crazy woman could have missed hearing about the overthrow of his regime and his capture.

I know that Dummies are, well dumb, but this is really pushing it.
