SFI, I very rarely agree with Matt on anything, and I gotta say I'm with him on this one.
That's why you put your baby on a schedule. I understand (from my mother who had three, my sister who has three, my aunt who has three . . . you get the picture) that schedules make happier babies AND parents.
Ok how about this. Try nursing 6 babies successfully then we'll chat about how well breastfed babies do on an artificial schedule. Breastmilk is digested faster than formula therefore a breastfed infant actually eats more often than a formula fed infant. As the baby's milk supplies increase then they will nurse more often to boost supply. You do know the law of supply and demane right? Who do you think you are trying to tell me to put my child on a schedule? Do you presume to know how to raise my children better than I do? Do you presume to take away my rights to life LIBERTY and the pursuit of happiness? What about my God given right to feed my child the way HE intended?
