Wow.

I remember the old days, when it was the bags of oranges and those big, long balloons they'd sell...but that was outside the park as you exited in the traffic.

Sad. I hope the guards are okay.

Then I remember the Navy bases and AFBs, and think that we'd need just a tiny bit of warning.

If some of you could just hop on one of those ships, and/or head for high ground... :)

***Just came up on CAD, nearly an hour late...

9:14PM - 3-4 VEHS INV ALL LANES - 204 TURNING AT GRAND

No other details, must have turned serious if they landed on the freeway. Sheesh, wish they'd fix that website.***

Now what's going on? And what website?

cad.chp.ca.gov is the website.

The freeway has just started to move heading westbound; there was, according to CHP logs, another accident 1 mile west of the incident at Sunflower - 2 cars in the center divider. A little earlier there was a crash on the wb 210 near Myrtle - 3 cars smashed into a disabled vehicle in the HOV lane. That is likely clearing up, but to add insult to injury, there is now a dog wandering around on the 210 freeway at Mountain.

Glad I'm not on the road tonight.

Oh boy. Mrs. melman is on her way back to Glendora from Temple City right now. I better go ring the cell.... and pour her a nice tall glass of cabernet.

Thanks for the info...

Gladstone or Arrow Hwy; when the 210 is jammed, both those roads are usually open.

Right. Arrow is our usual rush-hour alternate.

*bangs head on keyboard*

Between Sunflower and Grand on the EB 210, there are supposedly now three stalled vehicles - A blacked out car in the #2 lane, a stalled van in the #1 lane, and another stalled vehicle in the #4 lane.

Sheesh.

What the...? Unbelievable. Been hearing lots of sirens in our neck of thew woods over the last hour or so. Man, glad I chose to stay in tonight.

We're going to need a "What the hell, Glendora?" ping list if this keeps up.

Yeah, no doubt. The Gladstone firestation just rolled out again and went up Sunflower, so something either on the WB side or EB JEO of Sunflower.

By the by, have you seen the freak show that keeps popping up over in West Covina on Vincent over by the Applebees just south of the 10?

I want to counter-protest those guys so bad.

No. I don't get down that way too often, except maybe when Mrs. melman drags me to the WC mall. What kinda kooks are we talking?

Anti-war, impeach Bush, bring the troops home, etc, etc. They're usually on the south-west corner. I'll have to go hop down there after work to find out exactly when they show up and Freepmail you the details.

Yeah, let me know.

Well, I'm beat. Gotta hit the rack and get some rest for Raging Waters w/ the little melmans tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a quiet rest of the night in the Pride of the Foothills.
