Unfortunatly, I don't know what's in the Craig amendments, and that's what irks the hell outta me. The Kohl Amendment on trigger locks I linked to, and the bill itself is availible in Thomas (S 397) outside of the Craig Amendments. There's no text to them.
If I don't see them by morning, I'll call his office either from home or on my morning commute and ask them for the text of the amendments.
I'm not sure the House has passed their bill this year or not(LAST year they did). I expect them to pass a duplicate version of the Senate bill that passed as they are more pro-2a than the Sinate, I mean Senate.
I expect the 2 Craig Amendments to be mostly do nothing amendments, so I'm not too worried about them. He IS from Idaho which has about as high of tolerance for gun grabbing as the 'militia' sections of my state.
I'm with you on Craig's bona fides. He has been one of our staunchest allies in the D.C. so far, so I seriously doubt he has dropped the ball on this amendment.
Thanks again for your work today. I started another thread this morning urging calls to the Senate in support of the bill but your thread got most of the attention, which is fine with me now that it has turned out OK.
