I don't know about the rest of the states but CA requires you to buy a trigger lock. Big deal. I take mine home and throw them in a box and forget them.

I take mine to the range and shoot them. I resent being forced to pay for them, however.

Michigan requires locks as well(ironically as a price to pay for a statewide ban on gun lawsuits.)

I had to sign a form saying that I had a trigger lock when I bought my gun. I don't remember if I really had one or not......;)

Trigger locks is an example of "feels good" legislation. People, like you, will be given them when they buy a gun and go home and toss them in a box, or toss them out.

Still, maybe some will actually use them. That's not such a bad thing. :)
