Yeah, I've visited a couple of the threads.
Tacoma, within the city limits, is suffering from Seattle envy due to it's smaller size and close proximity. So it seems they bend backwards to be Seattle-lite and are fast becoming a liberal socialist bastion. The outlying metro area and suburbs are still fairly conservative.
Who cares what the children of a third world nation like France have been brainwashed into spewing.

In a word, YES.
God forbid you should mention you're conservative in Downtown Seattle. You will be looked on as having a mental disease or some sort of plague.
Now Tacoma....2 military installations nearby, lots of retired military (as previously mentioned). A much nicer place by far.
In fact (most of) the communities AROUND Seattle are NOT as liberal as the city itself.
