a decomposing body will produce heat and maintain heat.
I heard somewhere that they can detect heat from a body for 4 months.
Just heard that today or yesterday, yes, it was on Greta last night...I think...not sure where I heard it now...but I heard it!
Very early on they wre talking about using helicopters to look for heat from a decomposing body.
