I will disagree to the end with the absolutists here that insist that Momar at the convenience store is a mortal enemy to the United States. However, this guy REALLY hurts his own argument by including WAY too many paragraphs that excuse the terrorism. I can tell you, this is typical. What is needed is for Muslim leaders to produce statements TO THE TERRORISTS, not anyone else, that "You are not one of us - we hope you turn from your ways or die soon", WITHOUT ANY QUALIFACTION. To be honest, this hasn't happened yet.
If it doesn't soon, I might be convinced that the other side is right. My instincts tell me it is not (I have known many admittedly backslidden Muslims whose main interest was just getting laid). But the moderates keep shooting themselves in the foot by throwing in "The US, Britain and Isreal are also evil into their condemnations of terrorism.
As you can tell, I am torn on this issue. I don't want to be on the same side as racists (just look at some of the posts on this thread), but moderate muslims are proving the racists right.
