I actually had to *work* to find requests last night. Good grief! I was ready to shutdown the thread at the thought of working. What were we thinking? Blame Ma! LOL!

Half of the songs we've played, I've never heard of or seen the show.

That moving away from neighbors bit is really hard. I mean...really hard. Yup...not fun...I feel for you.

On the bright side, Texans tend to be good folks.

Wanna hear something funny?

MoJo was working on the Drinking Song thread and I was vetoed by those *wonderful* cousins of mine last night.

As they pointed out, any song is a good song when you're in that mood. Nothing depressing will do. MoJo was on the same track, but I figured that killed nearly half of the country songs because they're depressing as heck. (The cousins don't like country music. That should be a requirement for anyone that wants to move here. LOL!)

And they pointed out that I had no business doing that type of thread because I'm not a drinker. No, but I love watching drunks make a fool of themselves. That surely counts, right? LOL!

I had a friend who used to ride on the NurBurgRing in Berlin. It's an occasional racing oval that is usually a four-lane highway.

This friend got his bike up to about 120MPH before he realized that his raised arms and field jacket had created wings...the front of the bike started to come up and he had to fold in his arms really quickly!

Yes! They're good folks! It will at least make The Sailor feel better to have most of his family in one place. My mom mentioned buying property in Texas so she can visit the boys more often. She is getting really close to hating winters in Ohio.

The Courtship of Eddies Father, while thinking of Bill Bixby, was very nice and seemed to fit the show although I am having a hard time right now remembering the words or the basic tune.

Here are some of the words.

People, let me tell you about my best friend.

' He's a warm hearted person, and he'll love you to the end.

People, let me tell you, that he's so much fun,

whether we're talking man to man,or we're talking son to son

He's my best friend.
