This is the now infamous "War Crime: American Apache helicopter murders innocent Iraqis with 30mm chain gun" video that sent the appeasers into fits! They even tried to say that the guy by the tractor was going for a white flag (as opposed to uncovering his rocket launcher) when his buddy got splattered by HE rounds.
Not to be confused with the "Oh, dude" video, BTW.

I doubt they would have recognized them, just a few pieces of meat. Damn fine shooting.

My understanding is that this was from a C-130 but had heard the Apache theory. What's your opinion? BTW, what is the "OH Dude" video? I'm not familiar with it.

It's an Apache- it clearly hovering in one place, and Apaches have a 20 mm chain gun. An AC-130 has to circle around like any other airplane.
Incidentally, it's not 100% clear to me what they were leaving in that field. Not that I'm going to lose any sleep over it regardless.

This video was from an Apache that had followed these guys (one hiding in the back of the truck, the guy by the tractor, the first guy to get hit, and the guy who poked his head out from under the truck) and was hovering about a mile away. I think there are a bunch of links to longer, higher resolution clips on FR.
The "Oh, dude" video was a group of terrorists rounding a corner and having a laser-guided bomb dropped on them after CAS was called in Fallujah (IIRC). I believe it was the pilot who said, "Oh, dude" after the bomb obliterated them. Sorry I don't have links for you to follow. A quick search will probably find them.

You may be right. I work with a guy who said the same thing about it being an Apache using a 20MM gun(he may have reason to know for sure). If it wasn't an IED, it was at least a drop off site for another terrorist to pick up. Either way, they're gone and I hope they enjoy their 72 white raisins.

I think I remember it now. I need to see if I downloaded it. After rebuilding my hard drive, it may be hard to find. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the info.
