I have to say I LOVE the last week's coverage of this story.
Here's the media pose: Leaks are bad because they can lead to outting a CIA officer and hurting our security.
So who's responsible for this "leak":
A.The person who said "Oh you heard that too?" when the officer's name was mentioned, or...
B.The people who publish the name so millions of people see it.
Think hard, now.

I'm starting to understand why the libs supported for President a guy who said "I voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it."

He destroyed an intelligence asset like Valerie Plame merely to deflect criticism of a politician. Yeah, that's some intelligence asset, Keith, or need I remind you of your endless puking on the CIA for getting the Iraq WMD intel all wrong? And what exactly was Valerie Plame's job at the CIA? Common, Keith, it's not that hard...
I'll give you a hint, ratboy--WMD.

Olberman was too stupid to be a sportscaster, so they gave him a left-wing talk show. Remember the Peter Principle?
To: Sam Hill
Olbermann is a brainless moron.

mer·e·tri·cious Pronunciation: "mer-&-'tri-sh&s Function: adjective Etymology: Latin meretricius, from meretric-, meretrix prostitute, from merEre to earn -- more at MERIT 1 : of or relating to a prostitute : having the nature of prostitution 2 a : tawdrily and falsely attractive b : superficially significant : PRETENTIOUS synonym see GAUDY - mer·e·tri·cious·ly adverb - mer·e·tri·cious·ness noun
At least I learned a new word. Olberman ought to stick with sports, his attempt to discuss morality in the media falls way short. Let's see, a reporter can make any false claim about a subject he wants to, and it is incumbenet upon the subject to correct the story.
I don't think so. Where's my lawyer?

Kind of explains why Scarborough went south. And why even Chris Mathews--who used to pretend to not be a commie--stopped pretending.

Keith Olbermann: It's "Treasonous" For The Administration Not To Correct Media Stories Olbermann and others of his ilk just prove the truth of the Peter Principle, "people tend to be promoted up to their level of incompetence".
If the administration had tried to stop them from running their false stories, they would have accused them of censorship or of trying to cover up a scandal. The fact the MSM can't get its' act together should tell the public something about the management.

"W]eren't those members of the military or the government with whom Newsweek vetted the plausibility of its item, honor-bound to say "you can't print this"
And Newsweek would have listened and responded just as ABC recently did, right? ABC..who was urged by London police NOT to publish pictures of the bombs found in London...followed that request, right?
If given a choice for a scoop or public safety, the MSM will go for the scoop everytime.
