I thought anthropologically there were only 3 races. What's Australoid and Bushman?
I've never heard this "brown" race business, and I'm in Texas. Where/what agencies is it used?
Australoid are the aboriginees of Australia. Pronounced browridge, broad flat nose, dark skin, dark hair (which is often blond at birth) other characteristics I don't remember as it has been 30 years since my last Anthro class.
Bushmen, short in stature, inhabitants of the bush territory and the Namib desert in Southwest Africa, mostly wiped out by the Zulus, who used to hunt them for sport, in their migration to the south. They use the semi-famous click languages of Africa. There was a pretty funny movie made starring one who found a Coke bottle and was trying to return it. I cannnot for the life of me recall the title (I'm sure it will occurr to me as soon as I post). Their women are noted for two curious features: steatopygia-where they store food energy as fat in their buttocks and thighs (gives their butts a shelf-like appearance on top) and an exposed genitalia (labial fold rolled back).
