The CAFTA & NAFTA agreements seem to just syphon jobs from the U.S. to other countries. Some of us live by the "skin of our teeth" waiting to see if our jobs will be exported. Just because the jobs/business goes elsewhere does not mean the product will be better...just chintzier.

So before this agreement was signed we had none of the above?

Bravo! The one thing individuals truly own is their labor. Why should they be prevented from trading it for whatever with whomever they please? It's simply economic liberty, whereby we are "free to choose" what is best for ourselves.

I was really hoping that you left off the /sarcasm tag on your previous post.

I'm sure you also think the NAFTA treaty sellout has also been a roaring success for America.

Why, in your opinion, do you think CAFTA will be good for America. Please realize that I do not give two shits about the rest of the world's economies, I just want to know how this latest socialistic crap is going to benefit us.

Thank you in advance.

Our beloved trading partners never lived up to the NAFTA treaty the way it was passed. CAFTA was created to give away more in hopes that present NAFTA partners (CA and Mex.) would uphold their end of the NAFTA agreement. I guess manufacturing isn't an important sector in our economy any more? There is no way Americans can compete with cheap foreign (slave) labor. Think US manufacturing moving to Mexico was a good idea? Have you read about the tremendous pollution and medical problems rampart in the Mexican mill towns just over the southern border? Of course you haven't heard much to do about that. That would tell the world that Mexico's government has no concern whatsoever for it's working poor.
