PLAME 'RETIREMENT' STRICTLY VOLUNTARY (ACT: no question Plame falsified FEC form)
NY POST ^ | July 28, 2005 -- | DEBORAH ORIN Bureau Chief

Posted on 07/28/2005 4:30:35 AM PDT by Liz

A liberal activist group.....said it appears that outed CIA agent Valerie Plame supplied the false information that she was "retired" when she bought two tickets to a Bruce Springsteen anti-Bush concert......

"We would not have filled something in," said an official of America Coming Together, noting that each ticket buyer was asked to list employer and job for federal election reports because it was a political event.

The $372 ticket purchase is the first revelation that Plame participated in anti-Bush activity while working for the CIA. Her husband, former diplomat Joseph Wilson, told Time.com that she "doesn't recall listing herself as retired."

Plame — who was still a CIA staffer but on a leave of absence last fall — used Ticketmaster to buy the two tickets in her married name of Valerie Wilson, the ACT official said.

Plame's anti-Bush ticket purchases raised eyebrows among Republicans.

"......Plame has the right to support anyone she wants, but she and her husband can't continue to pose as nonpartisan, public-spirited citizens," said Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.).

After this debacle and the book written and published by "Anonymous" right before the election, as far as I'm concerned, this Agency might as well close down. It's too busy trying to elect Democrats instead of protecting the country.

I used to be a Springsteen fan , til I heard from his political side , I'll bet other fans have also dropped off his radar . Why do entertainers think they know what's best for us ?? They have false gods , multiple marriages , homosexual partners and a whole lot of other nonsence they peddle . Just shut up and entertain , if you can .

Hey, you never heard of airbrushing photos?

Shooting film through gauze?

Or filming the lens with vaseline?

You think those centerfolds really look like that?

Peter King is one of the few stand-up guys in Congress. All the more amazing considering he's from NY.

Not during the Clinton impeachment he wasn't. He was a rino lap dog then! I don't know what the deal is with him lately but he's been sqaurely on the right side.

Thanks for the posting and the ping.

Peter King has been all over these two lying POS's for two years.

The Wilson's are a bunch of armatures and don't understand why she still has a job at the CIA with her poor judgment.

Well, if you could arrange my attendance at a live photo session, I could check it out and report back.

Only God knows how many cases she screwed-up.

Probably falsified her CIA case reports, as well.

King is nobodys lapdog. He leads with his chin no matter what side of the issue he is on. I vehemently disagreed with him on Clinton but he wasn't a wuss about it. A good man to have on your side in a streetfight, methinks.

That's a good point. Lapdog wasn't the right word...I just thought he was acting like a typical NE rino during that time.

"... each ticket buyer was asked to list employer and job for federal election reports because it was a political event."

Why does anyone have to fill out govt forms to attend a Springsteen concert? or even a political event?

I hate Springsteen. If he's the boss...I QUIT!

The only damned song that's any good is PINK CADILLAC...and even that is a rip-off of the old PETER GUNN THEME.

The $372 ticket purchase is the first revelation that Plame participated in anti-Bush activity while working for the CIA.

This gets us one step closer to demonstrating that Plame violated the Hatch Act.

Yup----another violation of law.

Also falls under CIA rules and regs against politicking, as well.
