Listen, we are in a real war. In wars people die. It's not neat and nice but that's what happens. Do you really believe that everybody in Dresden was a soldier? How about Nagasaki or Hiroshima? "Innocent" people die. You have to make the price of continuing the war intolerable or the slime bags we're fighting will keep blowing up buses, trains and pizza parlors.

When the cost of allowing these murders to operate from their homelands begins to cost the "moderate" muslims more than they're willing to pay, they will do something about their "extremeists". Until that time I believe that the "religion of peace" is content to allow the fanatics to rule the roost. If innocent muslims have to die to prevent innocent Americans from dying so be it. They brought this upon themselves.

That's exactly what I was thinking. In WWW II, numerous civilians were killed in bombing raids. What makes war so different now? The idea is to stop the enemy from killing off your own people. That is a major function of the government -- to defend its people. If your enemy instigates and employs cruel tactics, you have to do whatever it takes to stop them.
