I dont know much about the HAM community, just a few periphrial things. I thought it was taboo to discuss politics on shortwave.

Between two or more people, one can discuss anything within the purview of decency. One cannot "broadcast" politics or anything else for that matter, especially jamming signals.

You wouldn't believe the things you hear on shortwave. I've been listening since 1958.
