Have you ever wondered what it must have been like back in the 1800s when the pioneer people didn't take showers every day and wore their clothes dozens of times without washing them?

ummmmm ... no, can't say I ever have.  But if I had to venture a guess I would say: quite smelly.

I'm reading, "Westward the Women" and the subject of bathing comes up. While crossing the Nation to the West, they went LONG, SWEATY stretches without even enough water for a fake bath. Those ladies were strong ladies...but they wore out quickly.
