Rise of the Fourth Reich - The European Union

Rise of the Fourth Reich - The European Union Posted on Monday, June 27, 2005 by richard The Nazi’s are nearly winning. Don’t believe me? One parliament, flag, anthem, court, all for a single Federal State of Europe. That is what the Nazi state was, a Federal State of individual german states. So as a citizen of the UK, I am very happy I live here in the US, but still worried for my fellow Englishmen.

The European Union’s laws mean that any state joining it must give their sovereignty up, betraying their citizens, deceiving them, to become a member of a Union that doesn’t give much back. Its roots are in World War 2, or its aftermath. The rapid stabilization of Europe after the war was essential, to prevent the Soviet Union dominating Western Europe.

Despite his enthuisasm for the Marshall Plan, Churchill said, of Britain and Europe:

But we have our own dream and own task, we are with Europe, but not of it, we are linked but not comprised. We are interested and associated but not absorbed.

In 1951, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Holland, the Treaty of Rome was the foundation (fledgling though it was) of the European Economic Community (EEC). Britain joined in 1973 despite national worries of losing national sovereignty. Successive treaties transferred more and more power from capitals to Brussels, which alarmingly CANNOT be returned.

The European Union will destroy a lot of trade as once it’s policies are adopted (and controlled) by Brussels, many laws will be imposed declaring certain products and/or the methods and doses they are sold in illegal, and limits come into effect nullifying individual nations’ laws (for example, a nation might permit 500mg Vitamin C tablets - the EU might not). Added up this could and can be very disruptive and completely change the face of nations, cultures, finance and many other facets of life. Considering that Britain is the world’s fourth largest economy, and Germany and France are also strong it could cause widespread recessions (in fact when joining the ERM in 1990, Britain had horrific losses, the worst recession in 60 years, 100,000 businesses folded, and Britain lost approximately $65+Billion in reserves).

Representation? Do MEP’s (Members of the European Parliament) actually have the power to do anything? Most are drowned in paperwork, it is designed to get mass voting in a certain direction, up to 450 votes (on separate subjects) in 80 minutes sometimes. Elections for MEPs are generally smaller and low-key compared to national elections so few people know their MEP.

Injustice - Oh My Lord Yes. A british grocer was convicted in 2001 for selling a pound of bananas sold in British Imperial measuring units, instead of kilos and grams. The judge said when convicting him:

“We are now living under a new legal order. The 1972 European Communities Act was a one-off, not an ordinary treaty, but a new way of life. These are new constitutional powers.

“The British parliament surrendered its sovereignty in 1972. European laws have overriding force with priority over our British laws… The articles on the supremacy of the British parliament are now only of historical perspective - they are non-binding.” The new legal system that is now being incorporated in the UK is called corpus juris (body of law). It is designed permanently to overhaul the British justice system including:

Scrapping of trial by jury; you now face a state appointed judge who will find you guilty or not guilty. Scrapping of habeas corpus; you are now liable to summary arrest without charge. Scrapping of innocent until proven guilty; henceforth a citizen must prove his innocence. Scrapping of double jeopardy; prosecutors could appeal not guilty verdicts. This could be repeated until a guilty verdict is achieved… Scrapping of non-disclosure; under corpus juris, any previous convictions you have will be made available to the court - no presumption of innocence. This is leading to a full dictatorship. You could be held without charge for as long as the state wishes, you are presumed to be guilty, you could be tried repeatedly until found guilty and thus imprisoned.

Taxation. Under EU rules taxation could be as high as 55%; current British taxes are far below this level (10%-40%). So now, taxation without representation is literally a fact, the very thing the American States said Britain was doing (at that time) and fought a revolution for. The EU doesn’t even use double-entry book-keeping (although that might have changed), something invented as a mechanism to prevent corruption in the 14th century, why not?

If my title sounded severe - perhaps you could see why? This is a travesty, I am SOOO happy that the French voted no (my opinion of them went way up…); it tells you that some of this information is getting out there and the French, who wanted a union where war would be unthinkable, is seeing a system the Nazi’s would have loved to have implemented. This is the Fourth Reich, so close to being a real entity. That so many men and women have died to prevent and destroy an evil that now has been created freely is a crying shame.

If any citizen of Britain is unhappy with the Parliament - (s)he could elect someone else - just like any democratic nation. So, there is one way out of this mess for ANY nation in the EU - their parliaments/governments/senates or whatever elected representatives they have - could vote for and gain an amicable separation from the EU. But the people, and those elected people, need the political will to do so.

well in response to the national sovreignty NOT being returned, a lesson from the Nazis shows that ANYTHING in that area (i.e. treaties and/or agreements) is permanent.

I think that had more to do with the Turk issue then a sudden hatred of socialism.

You are correct. I also think they want to be top dog and the EU would make them one. The Frogs are still socialist fools at heart and always will.

I highly doubt the Russians would ever join the EU. They are "friendly" with it only in so much as it's a next door reality. Unlike much of the EU, the Russians are very nationalistic just like us.

The EU will fail as an economic system. That 50 billion sent to Africa was not neccessary. Africa could get back on its feet if it was able to market its agricultural products to Europe. But get this. Europe has 300% tariffs on sugar. Top that off they heavily subsidize sugar producers. If Europe really cared about Africa it would stop this culture of subsidy.

Knowing Russians, I highly doubt that. They are very nationalistic.
