Listening live to Mark Filling(sp?), filling for Rush Limbaugh. Chime in!
Is this a different guy from yesterday? The guy on yesterday was trying to convince listeners that John Roberts is a good pick for the SCOTUS. He said his MAIN reason for thinking so is that GW "always gets the kind of pick he wants." Name one bad nomination where he might regret having done it. Within mere moments he was trying to explain away Paul O'Neill as an "exception to the rule." I didn't listen long enough to see if anyone mentioned Bernie Kerik. Ouch!
Not sure. I wasn't listening yesterday, unfortunately.
Does anyone know if Walter Williams will be sitting in on Friday?
Mark Belling
I seem to have this awful luck where so many times when I am off from work and looking forward to a little Rush, I get a darned fill-in. I don't know how many days off Rush takes, but I feel like I find em somehow. I am not a 24/7 member, but i listen to the free clips on his site.
Mark Belling
So you're a newbie who misspelled Mark Belling... HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS! ;)
Bernard Kerick was an excellent pick from the perspective of being a man to do what needed to be done there - it was a conflict of interest. Paul O'Neill was NOT a judge & came through different selection critera.
Ah. Belling. Can the Admin edit my initial post to fix the name so others aren't confused?
The show has begun!
I'm listening to Tony Snow.
My personal favorite fill in host though is without a doubt Walter Williams. I love the man's columns and his thought process' (e.g. "how do you cook a frog"). He's a treasure.
Where's O'neil, Daschle, Kerik now...???
Out of the few stand-ins I've listened to, I liked Roger Hedgecock the most.
The Kerik pick was an embarrassment that I am sure the president would have preferred avoiding. It demonstrates that his administration is capable of screwing up some very important picks.
Of course you know that we won't have that option with his SCOTUS picks, right? It's a lifetime appointment. My point was just that the host yesterday wasn't ready for prime time. His "argument" was shredded in about 30 seconds.
Why aren't we talking about Hillary Clinton's attempt to create a centrist Democrat agenda? There's alot of food for thought on that one.
Walter E Williams is also my favorite, but because he doesn't get used as much as the others.
The sad part is mark belling is usually much better doing the local show than he is filling in for rush. As a sub he's more restrained and careful. With his own show he'll go off on tangents and get a little weird, but that's what makes him interesting to listen to.
I think Rush is in Paris getting married to Daryn Kagan...........just a hunch, NO "inside info" but I have that "woman's intuition" type of "feeling" about this......flame me if you must!!
What is Walter Williams like?
