A better adjective to describe the series would be FUBAR

Maybe Botchco can hire Jihad Jane to promote 'Over There' on her anti-American vegetable bus tour.

Kudos for a great find. The opinions of our troops for this evident Democrat propaganda need to be heard.

I hope the show does not find an audience big enough to keep it on the air. I am sure that it WILL be a big hit among our enemies who are living throughout Europe and the US. It is yet another example of aiding and abetting the enemy.

Sounds like something from the 'Baghdad Palace' Michael Tucker/Michael Moore creative-editing/blame-America-first school. No thanks.
Support our troops.

To all Iraq War Vets: please review this show tomorrow night, and tell us what you think. I guarantee, somewhere Bochco or some stooge from some Hollywood antiwar group will dig up some sort of a vet to vet this show, and tell us all that this is the way it is. I'd much rather hear it from you! Tell us the unvarnished truth: is this an accurate portayal of the War in Iraq, or is it bogus propaganda, or something in-between. I can take the truth, but first I would like to hear it. Take care, good luck and Semper Fi!

I'm going to give the show a shot and see how it is.

FX deserves an open mind from me, for creating the best show on television - "The Shield." That show kicks ass in every way.

If "Over There" sucks, I'll stop watching it.

What did you guys think about the 80's series "Tour of Duty?" I thought the first couple of seasons were okay until they tried to turn it into "Knot's Landing: Siagon."

With Howard Dean the dems have formally graduated from "disarray" to "debacle", with "irretrievable disaster" just around the corner.

A truck tire hits a flagged wire, a roadside bomb explodes, a handsome private with shredded leg screams in agony. In the bloody chaos of the moment, his soldier buddies panic. One pukes.

I've got two different stories:

A Bradley is the lead vehicle in an armored convoy, moving towards Baghdad. The Bradley is hit by an RPG, and immediately catches fire. A 21 year old sergeant repeatedly enters the burning vehicle, removing the wounded. He spends several days in a hospital for smoke inhalation. He is awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

An up-armored Humvee heads down a divided road in Fallujah. The driver, a barely 20 year old Spec 4, notices a suspicious car in the middle of the road. He takes quick action, and jumps across the median, as the IED in the car is command detonated, missing the Humvee. However, they have just entered the kill zone of an ambush, and begin taking small arms fire. The driver and two passengers are hit. The driver shows remarkable composure, and drives out of the ambush, saving the lives of his three passengers. The driver is medivac'd to Germany, where he undergoes a series of reconstructive surgeries on his hand. He is awarded (so far) a Purple Heart.

THAT is what the F^%$ING CIVILIAN COWARDS like Bochco and the rest of the Hollywood America haters DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE because it does not fit with their traitorous objectives.

People Magazine, August 1, 2005 gave it a glowing review .
Except for one thing -

" Despite some early hiccups-
most notably the failure to humanize the Iraqis,
who do little more than fire guns and scream, " Infidels ! "....

I'll watch it tonight, Cecily:

I still hold Steven Bochco in high esteem from his "Hill Street Blues" days. IMO, the best "Cop Show" ever!

I know that Bochco had a few duds ("Cop Rock", "Bay City Blues", "Beverly Hill Buntz") but I'll keep an open mind.

Having grown up with the original B&W "Combat", "The Gallant Men", "12 O'Clock High" and "The Rat Patrol" the bar is pretty high. We'll see how it pans out.

Jack.

"Over There" isn't bad!

Big Technical "cheapness" in the opening minutes. With loading gear onto USAF trailers. And the Ear-plugless flight inside what may have been a C-130.

The Act II and III scenes were very remeniscent of "Combat!" and "Tour Of Duty" with a serviceable "Sgt. Scream" filling in for Sgt. Saunders or Terenace Knox's Sgt "Z".

Plus a Mosque filling in for the German Machine Gun Nest/Bunker/Observation Post from "Combat!". The troops SHOULD have been blinded and screaming when their NVG googles were hit by spotlights halfway to their objective.

I'd a feeling that "Mrs. B" managed to duck the Iraqi's AK rounds before the night fire fight started. And figure that Pvt. "Bo" Rider would lose a leg as soon as me mentioned that he was a HS Quarterback.

"Dim" could easily fill in for "Combat!"'s "Cage". "Angel" for "Kirby"

Altogether, not a "T*rd in a Punchbowl", "Over There" could be a Heck Of A Lot Worse!

Jack.

Can we all say "propaganda"? Yes, I knew we could.

The left can no longer rely on main stream news media to distort the truth, so they will use Hollywood.

How can you argue with fiction. So it is really not like that, but it could be.

I am not sure how middle America will respond to this attempt to sway their emotions agains support of the war on terror (and President Bush).

What the left does not seem to understand is, unlike Viet Nam, there is no picking up our marbles and coming home, with just the poor South Vietnamese paying with the lifes when we abandoned them.

Those that make war against us will not stop if we leave the Middle East they will just bring it here.

This is a war on survival, us or them. There is not middle ground.
