But she apparently didn't arrive too late to barge up and sit with the family or hand out her business cards to everyone. Which is quicker: (a) to say, "I'm sorry for your loss," or (b) to say, "If you ever need anything, anything at all, here's my business card. Just give me a call. Oh, and I want you to know that I personally am against this crazy war, and so is the entire state government"?

Or she could have offered another five word statement, which is totally appropriate for any Marine's funeral, whether one agrees with the war he fought in or not:

"He was a hero proved."
