"If my regard for his family's grief was seen another way, it is thoroughly regrettable." That sounds like a non-apology to me.

That I somehow conveyed an impression that was interpreted as other than that will forever be saddening and upsetting to me This soulless double-talk makes it all the more insulting.

Misinterpreted.............yeah.............uh-huh...........riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Translation: the b*tch got called on her despicable behavior.
To: Born Conservative
Don't these leftists have any shame?? Are they ever sorry for ANYTHING they do to hurt our military?
She's not "out there"..........she's despicable, like the whole lot of the anti-American left.
It's a good thing this family has class, because Knoll is beyond contempt.

Why was her letter of apology started with

Doesn't sound sincere to me.

This incident of funeral crashing illustrates why Santorum is right and Hillary wrong: It takes a family, not a village. The family acts out of love; the "village" is too often motivated by politics.

Knoll's letter continued. "If my regard for his family's grief was seen another way, it is thoroughly regrettable. The fact that you have been offended deserves and receives my most profound apology. What is it about dims that can't simply apologize for their actions. Instead they apologize that it was interpreted in some particular fashion, or they apologize that someone was offended, but they never seem to simply apologize for their actions.

Kate Philips, spokeswoman for Gov. Ed Rendell, said Pennsylvania "supports men and women serving in Iraq....blah, blah, blah," and the governor hopes that Knoll's letter will put the matter to rest. that the liberal media will ignore it until the story goes awaysorry a##wipe....she needs to be humiliated 1st to highlight her stupidity and insensitivity... then the femi-nazi-pin-wearing-hag needs to be put out to pasture.

Both stories say the "letter was released." Odd... I can't find it at the state site (which, also oddly, turns up nothing in a search for "Knoll") or at Knoll's own site or anywhere in "press releases." Must have not happened. < /sarcasm>
