It seems Wilson was being a political hack at about the same time he was speaking to Kristof as a "nonpolitical" hack. I'm sure Kerry won't tell anyone exactly when he asked for Wilson.

Exactly. He had already gone on a trip to Africa in 1999.

Why didn't he pipe up then? The Iraq Liberation Act had already been passed citing Hussein's intent on obtaining WMD by then.
