Becuase too few voters attend the 'primary elections' where they pick the crap you vote for in November---and the pols know it and use it against the people---talk is cheap, let us see how many remember this next year when voting time comes 'round-

You get invited to the viewing, asked to a funeral (ceremony or Mass) and show up for the interment to show your respects.
You sign the guest book at the ceremony you do attend and send flowers or as requested (donate to charity, etc).
You normally don't show to a viewing or funeral without a close connection (family, worked with the party, etc).
You sure as Caine don't show up as a stranger, ask who is who and pass out business cards! No class and most certainly no upbringing. Pfwaph. Pols!

Here is what she meant to say:
If my effort at a photo opportunity to be used in my upcoming campaign in any way interferred with the funeral of what's his name, well, sorry. I promise when I run the clips from that media event, err, funeral that I will be sure to mention what's his name's name.

Who, by custom, attends the "wake" and the funeral services may be different in different parts of the country. I think it is very appropriate for elected officials to pay their respects at the services of a fallen soldier, marine or sailor. The official represents their constituency at the services in offering condolences. A simple statement of sympathy to the family is all that is needed.
By her words at the funeral, Ms. Knoll showed that she has no class and no sensitivity.
