Al Qaeda Threatens Rome, Berlusconi Personally Addressed

The Abu Hafs Brigades who claimed responsibilty for the two London bombing attacks published a fresh warning Monday, July 25 on their internet web site.

'After London, it is now Rome's turn.' An earlier warning by the same group gave Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK and Italy until August 15 to pull their soliders out of Iraq.

The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was warned that by failing to withdraw Italian coalition troops from Iraq, he would 'by his own hand turn Rome into a graveyard.'

The statement threatens the Italian capital with harsher and more painful strikes than the London attacks.

'As long as a single Italian soldier remains in Italy, you the prime minister can look forward to nothing but 'more and more blood.'

Just the wahhabees, my brother in Christ. In Georgia, for instance the muslims are treated rather like second-place citizens and islam seems to work fine there - without nuking anything or anyone.

You should come with me to Georgia next spring in fact. You can hardly imagine the experience of being so hugely a majority of faith in a country (90% Orthodox) and watching the rare muslim here or there being so small and unimportant.

It's a wonderful healing experience. Icons in stores, taxi drivers crossing themselves, Christianity is out of the closet in Georgia and expected, mainstream. Policemen pass a church and stop to cross themselves and bow. It's just incredible to experience.

I kept thinking, this is what it should be like. Church is everywhere. You're at church, but you're not, where ever you go.

Most of the people in my church are pissed at our involvement in the war. I hear a lot of priests have spoken out against it and Pope John Paul opposed it as well. Imagine what the opinion of the war would be if so many clergies in this country wouldn't have poisoned the parishioners views. We heard it for a year from the priests.

At some point many are going to hear the words "I never knew you".

Techincally, wouldn't this be Crusades III, IV, or V?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again...

Poland has troops with us in Iraq.

SOME intel sources think Poland's on the short-list, too.

Arrogant?

Maybe. But the usual term is "chutzpah."

Another term for DDP's "observation" that 'the Jews don't matter to the Pope' is: hogwash. WHINY hogwash.

France is a Catholic-In-Name-Only country, and has been since around 1940.

Pope John Paul opposed it as well

Could you provide the actual text of Pope John Paul II opposing the Iraq War as an unjust war? Thanks.

You don't know one single thing about me, yet you call me anti-Catholic. One needs only look at my past post to see in all my time being here I have never once made a derogatory statement about Catholics. Pull out some of the threads where the pope died and a new one was chosen.

Know what you're talking about before you accuse someone of being a bigot.

Muzzies, now them I despise. No doubt there.

Let's not forget that the most important appearance and message(s) of the Blessed Virgin took place in a town named for the daughter of Mohammad. That didn't happen by accident. Her Immaculate Heart will triumph in the end...

Don't worry. Nothing will happen to the Vatican. But even something did happen, the Church would walk away mostly unharmed.

Everytime I read this stuff it is depressing me. My vacation is in Italy in September and I hate having to have this "crap" in the back of my mind and, thus, taking away from some of my vacation enjoyment.

Yes, and other well-worn cliches about Jews appearing in other posts on this thread, such as "overly-sensitive," "whiny," "hidden-agendas," etc., etc. Couldn't you guys come up with some ORIGINAL stereotypes - these have been floating around since the Dark Ages. Your posts would be SO much more interesting.

Reading is a skill. Where did my post say it was an unjust war. The Pope spoke out against the war. It is what the Pope does. When you are a man of peace you usually speak out against. A lot of people followed the Pontiffs lead by voicing opposition to military action.

He was a pacifist and he thought there were better ways to resolve this problem. On this issue I declare him to be wrong.

Excellent - that proves my point better than I could ("The Jews deserved what they got.")
