Time to put SA-vage on suicide watch. This might finally push him over.

I don't think so. That would require him to be reality based.

He's all spin and BS. He can't even be honest about what he got his PhD in. And no, it wasn't in epidemiology.

"16th place vs. 17th place is Big News."

Not only that but the difference in listeners between Franken and Savage is only 500. That number is low enough that Franken is beating Savage on one day, Savage is beating Franken on another... etc. etc. etc.

Yet in his first book "The Savage Nation" he praises Limbaugh. I used to enjoy him but he has become so jealous of him that it consumes the show. He also spends an enormous amount of time bashing other conservatives. I remember him calling Bush a socialist. His stock is falling in my opinion. He is also in Bernard Goldberg's book "37 people who are screwing up the country"

So he beats Savage in a town stacked to the rafters with liberals. Why panic?

not surprising - Savage has become unlistenable. The only question is - with how much of his show is dedicated to attacking Bush, Blair, Condi, Rummy, etc. - why isn't Savage on Air America now?

I like Savage.

He's red meat entertaining and he's refreshingly honest about the Islamic menace.

I use to like Savage when he was a true conservative. I started having my doubts when he attacked Ann Coulter NOT as a Republican but as a 'conservative'. I mean, knowing that Savage is an independent conservative I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After all, I too am an independent. But then he attacked Ann Coulter as a "conservative elite" saying that she's no different than the "liberal elite". That struck me strange. I now wonder if a) Savage is pulling a Bill Oreilly by trying to appease the democrats every other show for the ratings, or b) he's a fake.
Furthermore, there are radio hosts that may be open to attack (those that talk about other hosts) but Rush is not a radio host that talks about other conservative hosts(unless it's praise)yet Savage attacked him. I noted the next day there was a quick mention of Savage on Rush in an interview with the author of the 100 People Destroying America. Rush's comment was something like, "never heard the man but I've heard of him and he sounds like a nut case"

I liked Savage until he tried to appease the Bush-haters for ratings. Now I listen to Mark Levin he's 2nd best to Rush.

The ratings aren't a statement of how well Franken is doing, but of how poorly Savage is doing. He's interesting...for awhile...but his schtick eventually becomes tiresome.

Savage has been going down in my book for some time now. Its as though he is being negative as some kind of badge of honor.

Frankenwhore has broken through my radio speakers maybe a total of 10 minutes. And that is based on about 150 attempts to turn the dial there while someone else more interesting and truthful is on commercial.

Savage is committing mouth suicide.

Death by self-induced tongue lashing?

That's what happens when a Democrat moonbat goes up against a Republican moonbat in Democrat Moonbat Central. But notice that even there Franken is not ahead by much.

Savage is a frothing loon and a bore. How many times can you listen to someone bitching about how everything sucks for hours at a time?

Is Levin web-streamed?

Who the hell still listens to Imus?

Imus is the best place to get the DNC talking points first thing in the morning. All the Dem Senators seem to open up for Imus, along with the media heads.

"He also spends an enormous amount of time bashing other conservatives."

Which is sad, because it has been many of those conservatives who've helped him out. During his book tour, it was Hannity and others who allowed him on their shows to promote himself...only to be stabbed in the back, later.

I think you have to look at the time frames.

Four of the top 8 shows are on in the 6AM time slot.

At 6 PM, the only shows rated are Levin with 74.3K, Savage 60.9K and Randy Rhodes 42.3K.

Listeners for all stations drop off after the 9AM time frame, pick back up in the afternoon and drop off again at 6PM.

TOP SHOWS BY TIME

6-10AM - Howard Stern #1 with 237K
10-12 Noon - Grambling #6 with 102.4K
12-3PM - Rush Limbaugh #2 with 139K
3-6PM - Mike & Maddog #3 with 106.2K
6-8PM - Mark Levin #11 with 74.3K

And callers are NOT even allowed to ask him how he is or he snaps at them. That's what happens I suppose when you're an ultra conservative and living in San Francisco. It must be terrible for him. Like a Jew living in Iran. No wonder he's going mad. Actually, I'm probably close to 100% behind Savage on the issues so I wish he would not go away. It's the way he bashes conservatives. Before when he bashed Bush for not doing Martial Law in the country to find the snipers or for doing nothing to secure the borders...I understood that. But bashing conservatives who share many of his views (and mine) - I have a problem with that.

Just wanted to say goodbye to all you "conservatives", bushbots, and republicans who posted negative comments about Savage. I will now leave FR and will not return.
