I'll bet that each person staying at the hotels and gambling in casino reads at least ten newpapers a day. And oddly enough, all ten papers are Diario.

If the fisherman's huts were broken into for anchors, etc., what could the wrap an anchored body to hold in from floating to the surface ... a tennis net.

Dont know. Without a body or crime scene or cooperative Police Dept. we are left with speculation as far as evidence goes and that which seems logical. Once we find the remains, we'll have that and some sort of a crime scene.
